Allocate your Capital with Conviction

No matter the financial environment it is always advantageous to allocate capital. Cash loses its value to inflation if it is not allocated in most situations. The legend Warren Buffett was able to do this with conviction in any market environment. The approach was taking a long term horizon and searching for value. We can all take this most basic concept and apply it to our approach.

• You have to search out value, it doesn't just fall in your lap.

  *It could involve the stock market, fix income instruments, real estate, or business opportunities. It could also include investing in yourself. You have to understand the value to each and where it fits within your portfolio. During times of expansion it may be beneficial to allocate capital to companies that are participating in the current cycle. Each cycle is different, and each cycle will change. It is important to understand how a company makes there money and the growth rate they are able to achieve. During contraction it may be beneficial to cycle back into defensive positions. It is always beneficial to identify companies that participate during any cycle environment. Dividends can continue to grow wealth when left to compound over a long term approach. You have to drive in and research daily to unlock the knowledge to apply to your financial future.

• Invest in yourself.

  *Buffett famously speculated that it was advantageous to invest in yourself during time of economic retraction. Building your abilities in any environment will lead to building skills to unlock earning potential. Take me for example. During the early part of 2025 I was able to acquire my real estate license. I have spent the last several years studying the financial market. All of that has led to an increase in my ability to grow my earnings.
